Help Environmental Candidates in the Great Election of 2016

Are you excited or even concerned about the upcoming elections and their impact on our environment? We are too! Here’s your chance to get involved with other local Sierra Club members and help solid green candidates. Houston’s Sierra Club Political Team is organizing right now to help candidates who will make a difference for our environment.

Decisions that shape the future of our community and our planet, are made every day by elected officials in Houston, Texas and our nation’s capital. You know, some local elected officials insist on action to clean up the San Jacinto Waste Pits Superfund site while others just try to just cover it up.

Join this team for an easy way to take action for the environment. You will meet others with common interests to contact local Sierra members, build our group, create and staff events, and help candidates as a group.

We’re dedicated to electing clean air, clean water and climate action champions at all levels of government. In an era of super PACs and gross political spending by millionaires and billionaires, grassroots actions like ours will actually make the difference between winning and losing.
