WASHINGTON, DC - Tax writers in the House of Representatives have released a package of clean energy tax credits for critical technologies which must be brought to scale. The Growing Renewable Energy and Efficiency Now (GREEN) Act includes incentives for clean, renewable energy solutions including solar, offshore wind, battery storage, energy efficiency, and electric vehicles.

In Response, Sierra Club Executive Director Michael Brune Released the Following Statement:

“We thank Chairman Neal, Chairman Thompson, and other leaders in the House for pulling together this urgently needed package of clean energy tax credits. This is a critical priority that will boost jobs across the booming clean energy economy to promote economic growth and lower emissions in states across the nation.

“House leadership should seize this opportunity to work with the Senate and ensure that a package of clean energy tax credits is attached to any must-pass legislative items before the end of the year.”
