NY-13 Michael McMahon (D)
McMahon supports recycling laws that cover plastic bags, batteries and electronic waste, and wants to create new federal incentives for the use of energy-efficient technologies, and to fund programs designed to promote recycling throughout the nation.
NY-21 Paul Tonko (D)
Endorsed by the Sierra Club, Paul has gained a national reputation as an expert on energy and utility issues. From 1992 to June 2007, Paul served as chairman of the New York Assembly Standing Committee on Energy. Recently, under his capacity as Assemblyman, Paul expertise was called upon by the Congress of the United States, to testify before the Subcommittee on Domestic Policy, with regards to the Energy Policy Act of 2005. In 2007, he was awarded the Solar Leadership Award by the New York Solar Energy Industries Association.
NY-25 Dan Maffei (D)
Endorsed by the Sierra Club, Maffei was a reporter and producer for Syracuse's Channel 9 News, where he worked on numerous stories: about the closing of important factories, job loss, the need for more high-tech development, and the economic and environmental pressures on farming, hunting and fishing.
Maffei supports creating green jobs by investing in clean energy, ending tax breaks for Big Oil, better public transit and more efficiency vehicles.
NY-26 Christopher Lee (R)
Lee wants to lessen our dependence on foreign oil by increasing domestic oil drilling, promoting clean energy, and encouraging conservation.
NY-29 Eric Massa (D)
