Endorsed by the Sierra Club, Titus as a Nevada state senator successfully pushed for renewable portfolio standards for utility companies, created a system whereby individuals can produce their own power and sell it back to utility companies, created tax and pricing incentives for wind and solar power, and created an inventory of Nevada's greenhouse gas emitters in preparation for a cap-and-trade program.
