Formed in 1967, we operate as a nonprofit, volunteer-run organization. Sierra Singles is a group for adults who enjoy a wide range of activities. Some of our activities include hiking, biking, volleyball, dining, BBQ's, game nights, dancing, cultural events, theatre, art tours and, overnight trips for camping, skiing, and backpacking. Our schedules have 50 to 60 events monthly. All events are run by qualified volunteers.
If you have an idea for an event, think about qualifying and running the event! Here's how! Most of our members are professionals in all fields of work. Generally, they are health conscious, friendly, and active. Sierra Singles is a great place to network and make friends. It is not a "typical" singles scene. Start enjoying a new lifestyle and make some new friends! The Loma Prieta Chapter of the Sierra Club covers Santa Clara County, San Mateo County, and San Benito County of the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area Any Sierra Club member may participate in and subscribe to publications of other Chapters, regional Groups, and Activity Sections. You may want to join the following, either instead of or in addition to our Section, depending on where you live, work, or play. The San Francisco Bay Chapter covers Marin, Contra Costa, Alameda, and San Francisco Counties; and The Mother Lode Chapter covers Stanislaus County, Sacramento and most of Northeast California. Other adjacent Chapters are The Ventana Chaper Monterey and Santa Cruz counties and The Tehipite Chapter Merced, Fresno, Madera, and Mariposa Counties, which may have activities for singles. While people join from other areas, activities are centered around these counties.
