Anuncio de 40 Grupos Cívicos: Es Hora de Que Scott Pruitt Dimita o Sea Despedido


 
Nueva York — Cuarenta grupos cívicos, sindicales y ambientales en representación de millones de miembros y seguidores de todo Estados Unidos han comprado hoy una serie de anuncios a página completa en el que piden la dimisión o despido del administrador de la Agencia de Protección Ambiental (EPA), Scott Pruitt. El lunes, la Oficina Gubernamental de Rendición de Cuentas informó que el comportamiento de Pruitt viola la ley.
 
El anuncio aparece en las secciones principales del New York Times, New York Post y del mayor periódico del estado de Pruitt, The Oklahoman.
 
El director ejecutivo del Sierra Club, Michael Brune, emitió la siguiente declaración al respecto:
 
“Scott Pruitt representa el concepto de pantano de corrupción al amontonársele los casos de conflictos de ética y escándalos de abuso de poder. Ya es hora de que Pruitt dimita o sea despedido, particularmente ahora que algunos de sus actos más absurdos se consideran ilegales. Cada día que Scott Pruitt permanezca en la EPA, es otro día que ridiculiza a Donald Trump y a todo nuestro país”.

40 Civil Rights, Labor & Environmental Orgs to Trump: “It’s Time for Pruitt to Resign, or Be Removed”
NAACP, SEIU, Union of Concerned Scientists, Physicians for Social Responsibility, OCEANA & More Take out Full Page Ads in the New York Times, New York Post, and Oklahoma’s Largest Newspaper.

NEW YORK CITY - Forty national civil rights, labor, conservation and environmental organizations representing millions of members and supporters across the United States have taken out a series of full page ads Wednesday calling for the resignation or firing of EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt. On Monday, the Government Accountability Office reported that some of Pruitt’s behavior violates the law.
 
The ads appear in the main news sections of The New York Times, the New York Post (which Donald Trump receives each day), and the largest newspaper in Pruitt’s home state of Oklahoma, The Oklahoman.
 
Sierra Club Executive Director Michael Brune issued the following statement:
 
“Scott Pruitt is the definition of the swamp, with new ethical and abuse of power scandals breaking virtually every day for the past two weeks. Its past time for Pruitt to resign or be fired, particularly now that some of his most absurd actions are being ruled illegal. Every day Scott Pruitt stays at the EPA is another day he embarrasses Donald Trump, and our entire country.”
