Job Title: Associate Campaign Representative, Beyond Coal Campaign
(one year duration with possibility of extension denpend on funding)
Department: Conservation
Reports To: Deputy Campaign Director
Context: Carries out the strategies and activities for assigned Beyond
Coal campaign activities. Participates in the development of strategies and
priorities.
Scope: The Associate Campaign Representative helps to carry out one or
more of the campaign’s initiatives. Assists in development of initiative plans.
Participates in activities and services provided by the national campaign. Helps
to coordinate volunteer leaders, national, state and local conservation staff.
Knowledge & Skills:
-- B.A./B.S. degree in Environmental Studies, Political Science or a closely
related field.
-- 1-2 years’ experience in the environmental field that includes research
and organizing campaigns, press relations and public speaking.
-- Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and proof of auto
insurance required.
-- Good written and oral communication skills
-- Prior experience and ability writing training and information materials.
-- Prior experience and knowledge of the legislative process.
-- Demonstrated ability and effectiveness working with volunteers.
