The origin/cause of the Tully Valley mudboils has been debated for years. Sometimes referred to as the “Jurassic Park” of geology, the mudboils destroy trees, gobble up grassland and dump tons of silt into Onondaga Creek each day. William Kappel, Hydrologist with the U.S. Geological Survey, will bring us up-to-date on these unique phenomena and discuss their future.
